One of my favorite places in the world is the Monterey Bay area along the central coast of California. I've regularly traveled to Monterey and adjacent cities such as Carmel-by-the-Sea and Pebble Beach since I was a child - perpetually enjoying the natural beauty and particular events found in the region. Each August, "Classic Car Week" fills the streets, hotels, and almost every venue, with people coming to town for the Concours d'Elegance, as well as related events which are all about celebrating (as well as buying and selling) beautiful and distinguished automobiles. For quite some time now, the official sponsor of the Concours and other events, such as that at the Mazda Speedway at Laguna Seca and the Quail Lodge show is Rolex watches. Breaking a resolution: The restoration of a Seamaster
A while back, I picked up a 1970 Seamaster Chronometer ref. 168.034. My New Years resolution was to send it to Bienne for restoration.But, I found Dalton, the guy that does it in 1/9th the time and for half the price.Yeah, I jumped and broke that resolution.
