So, being new to the Washington Puget Sound region, my wife and I decided to spend a couple hours seeing the area yesterday. Now, we could have opted to take the car, but that's not really what we were up for given we did a 4300 mile road trip to move here in June (links to pics below). Enjoyable, but hardly the way to "pack the max into the least time".We could have opted to take the new Yamaha FJR1300, too. But worse then the car, the bike encourages you to slow down and enjoy the scenery you are in, though you do tend to find funner places to tour through. :)Instead, we took a...........That's right!A deHavilland Beaver. :)In getting ready for the day, I tried to think of which watch would be the best fit for the day. I knew immediately it was the Luminox.The day dawned cloudy and damp. With rain in the forecast, we were initially concerned that our flight might be canceled later in the day. There are two things that I would love to see Patek do in the future that I feel would be not only be good for the brand itself but also for watch lovers in general. First, would be to release a non-limited edition of the new 5522 without the New York engraving. This would make a wonderful watch available those not fortunate enough to obtain one of the originals while in no way detracting from the value and exclusivity of the limited-edition. And secondly, to make a steel version of the 5524. This would bring both of the Calatrava Pilots within reach of a wider audience and would perhaps tempt me away, at least for a while, from my Rolexes. Let me know what you think of my modest proposal.

New (proud) Patek 5726 owner
I recently purchase a 2015 Rolex Daytona TT with a blue dial. The watch looks great in pictures but I couldn't get into the two tone. So I decided to part with it. I also looked at my collection and decided my JLC Master Calendar wasn't seeing much wrist time so I sold her as well.I picked up this beautiful 5726. I was initially torn between this and the bracelet but decided on the strap as I like the contrast a little better.As a note- I do own a Patek Philippe gold pocket watch that belonged to my wife's great grandfather. I had it serviced by PP and was able to pull from their archives. My wife's mother left it to me after she passed so it has a lot of sentimental value... As does PP!
