- This is one watch I kept. The others went back because the strap was too short. I really like the size and classy look of this Victoria Wieck masterpiece.

Graham 2SWASBR.B22A.K06B wrist watches news:
Hello gang! I'm in the market for a 3-4 head watch winder but can't justify a $1700 winder..does anyone around here know anything about Steinhausen winders? I understand the concept you get-what-you-pay-for but again, a winder over $1k I think is a bit too much...thxalam
I have this Hamilton Quartz that needs a battery. I have never seen a battery like this one. The battery is a (CR 23 P) and it has a strange configuration of both + and - on the bottom. (see pictures) The watchmaker I use has never seen anything like it. Is there a source for the battery or work around to make it work. 002.JPG003.JPG004.jpg
I know little of the watch industry. Perhaps this esteemed group can help with my question. In other industries, ornamental designs are covered by Design Patents or equivalents, such as Registered Designs. WIPO countries will also enforce these, and Switzerland (among a large list of others) is a member of WIPO.We know that fake creators are already outside the law you're not going to stop the guy on the streetcorner selling fakes. But if a watch design was protected by a design patent, then you'd be able to enforce it on established companies that make very close homages. Not "loosely-inspired-by" types of designs, but almost 100% copies should be covered.I'm thinking about the many submariner-alike divers, the many almost exact PAM homages, and the like. Many of these differ in style only by the manufacturer's name or a couple of tiny details. It appears they'd violate a design patent. So here's the question: Why aren't watch companies obtaining and enforcing design patents?
Hello WTF, I am a new member so let me introduce myself. I am currently a Junior in college and a business major. Since I do a lot of networking I decided to buy a nice watch and I choose the Movado Junior Sport stainless steel. I don't hold much knowledge about watches but I choose this watch because of its simple design and the black dial to match my suit (haha). The question that I have is when trying to set the time, I have to turn the crown counter clockwise (towards myself) in order to forward the time. I've owned a few cheap watches in the past and I always believed the crown has to be turn clockwise to forward the time. So is this feature something unique to Movados?
