New Steampunk Watch Direction: Asymmetry, Big Gears: New Items From Olga Clock Works
It's been a while since I covered new work from one of my favorite watch and clock artists; Olga Narozhna (click to visit her site). I wrote an at length article about her here. Among her many fine efforts, she offers really interesting steampunk watch creations, that if you are lucky, she sells on eBay. For the initiated, steampunk is a design style that melds industrial revolution era technology aesthetic, Victorian era design cues, and a hefty dose of Jules Verne science fiction wonder.Two new wearable pieces of functional art on available from Olga, and really show a new level of refinement in her style. I can attest that the craftsmanship of her work is very good. She makes very solid and well put together pieces. Thoughts on the Aqua Terra Good Planet?
I've never owned an Omega, but have been curious as it's quite a storied history, etc... So, I had to drop a watch off for service and stopped by the Omega dealer and tried on a few and can't stop thinking about the 43mm Good Planet GMT, white dial with red accents. Does anyone own this watch and if so, what are your thoughts?Also, I tried on the 41.5mm Aqau Terra Omega Master, blue dial and love that one too. Both look great on the bracelet, but I think the blue straps look great too. So, any thoughts or recommendations from any that might own one or both, or any insight at all on Omega would be helpful.Thanks!

How about a picture of your watch collection in 1 picture with how you picked your collection. I will startPatek 5711 - For causal daily wear. The most comfortable watch I have ever worn. Never gets attention and does not look like an expensive watch to most, but amazing craftsmanship. You can wear this anywhere. Patek 5726 - For causal daily wear when I really need to know the date. The composite strap is my favorite. Can wear it out to any event or with a suit. The stitching on the composite strap makes it seem more formal. I don't think I would ever put this on a leather strap for very long.Patek 5125 - For formal wear with a classic look. I love the vintage classic look of this watch. The cream dial with rose gold and a hint of blue around the moon warms my heart. I feel very luck to own this piece Patek 5036 - Love the feel of a gold watch and bracelet but a bit blingy and old school. This always reminds me of my perception of an old mans watch and I love it.
