The Modillian is the first "smart strap" for watches and aims to bridge the gap between traditional timepieces and the emerging smartwatch industry. If you've been following watches-dealer's coverage of smartwatches, then you know we typically bring up a very important question. That being, at what point we will see a smartwatch so appealing that it forces us to take off our high-end mechanical watches and put on what is essentially a wearable communication gadget? With the Modillian, many people will perhaps get to enjoy both. What is the Modillian? Essentially it is a replacement ardillon buckle (the term for the basic pin and loop style buckle most watch straps have) for watch straps that has a Bluetooth connection and vibrates in order to alert the wearer to notification such as incoming calls, missed calls, and new messages. Modillian was created by two engineers in Israel who love the promise of smartwatches, but are also serious mechanical watch guys. For them, the Modillian is a
Can anyone provide some good advice on how best to remove fine scratches on brushed steel, (case, bracelet)? My spring bar tool got away from me.:mad:Thanks
Yes, there is one Tourbillon Concept GMT for $200K+, but I am talking about a reasonably priced GMT.I could imagine something like the Diver, where instead of the 60 minute scale on the inner bezel, you could have the 24 hour scale, and make it bi-directional. Adding a 24 hour hand and allowing the local hour hand to be adjusted in 1 hour increments independently could be reasonably easy to accomplish using an add-on module just like the chronos have.I, for one, would be the first one in line to buy one. What do you think?
Hi All,I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. I'm a longtime AP fan. I currently own a Rubberclad and a 15400. I want to add a diver. The steel and the black ceramic are discussed here often. I was wondering if anyone here owns the white version? I know people say it looks like a G-Shock. (I have a white G-Shock and wear it often). I thought it was good looking, but just OK until I saw it in person. Then I was smitten... The finish is amazing.I welcome any thoughts or opinions. And any wrist shots would be much appreciated.Thank you!Best wishes,Dave
