Mark was kind enough to fashion a couple for me, which worked out much better than the ones I tried to make. Still it was a bear to fit a fashionable strap onto this new Oval. I think I finally found a nice one (dark brown teju lizard). From:To:Now I just have to have it serviced (another dang! Will be a few weeks). In the meantime I can wear this one!

Incoming: Seiko Mini Neo Monster Lite
My first automatic watch.Initially I was looking for a black Monster, but I found this watch at what I think was a really good price. Now that I have it, I actually think that I might prefer the styling. I'm not a diver, so the water resistance is not a big deal to me. I've tried on a few Monsters, but do not own one.The bracelet was missing some links, which I knew before I paid for it, and of course it did not fit me. That's OK though, because I was looking to put a rubber strap on the watch anyway. I wanted this to be a more casual watch. I actually ended up getting a strap at Dakota at the mall that I'm pretty happy with so far.First impressions: Automatics are awesome. It's mesmerizing to watch the second hand. Also, the watch has just enough color with the red accents.The lume blows my other Seiko out of the water, probably because there is so much of it. It's strikingly bright when you first step out of the light. It fades quickly, but still stays visible. I'll see how it does o

I have a Rolex passed down from my Grandpa and I don't know whether it's real or not. I have no certificate or box or anything like that. Could anyone tell me if there's any signs of it being fake, or how I could verify it? Thank you.
