Hublot 301.AM.130.RX.YCM07 wrist watches news:
Just discovered you guys, those who frequent WUS Vintage may have seen these, but here goes-With a first name "Donald" I felt an urge to own my namesake watch. So several years ago I picked one up off the 'bay. After a while I grew dissatisfied with redials so sold it. Got an original dial but grew unhappy with it as it looked "dirty"-sold it. My search for birthyear Donald was difficult because I was born in 1953 and it seems they weren't made past 1952. A forum regular at WUS found this on the net- I look at it as being conceived (built) in'52 and born (first used) in '53 -like me! Also, I worked as a photographer for several years and I'm thinking that the Eastman Mfg was some part of Eastman Kodak (which used a variety of names). I'm willing to overlook the redial because of the date (but could use a new crown!). Anybody else with a Hamilton with their name? Birthyear? Both?Don
The more that I look for Seiko Honda F1 watches, the more cool limited versions that I come across.Does anyone know of a website that archives all of the different versions throughout the years? Thanks!
So, the wife and I are shopping in Toronto on the weekend (actually looking for a new wallet for her - least I could do after getting a new watch and new strap for me....) and we come upon a large watch retailer (Royal de Versailles - HUGE selection of watches). I suggest we pop in for a few minutes to just have a look. I am actually looking for her, although she doesn't know it. She pretty much turns up her nose at all the ladies watches, so I give up and start looking for another for me...... I have expressed my dislike for the Royal Oak here before, but along with a bunch of those and some tourbillons, I see a very plain dress watch in the Audemars Piguet display area. I move closer to have a look and see that it must be a vintage piece, which I didn't think this place normally carries. I asked for some help and was presented with a very nice, slim, 18k gold hand wound dress watch. Hours and minutes only, stick markers, simple baton hands, with a black strap and champagne c
7 per cent next week. Apparently on most models. No idea on other markets.
The Stripper and the Patek Mar 22, 2005 - 12:50 PM (This is a reposting of an article on another watch forum).PLEASE NOTE - I am a Patek owner and my wallet has on average about $15 (if I am lucky) in it! Last week I was entertaining some Japanese business guys and they wanted to see a strip club. So we go to a strip club in sleepy little Nashville but I forgot that I had my 5970 on my wrist. We find a spot and settle in, sip a drink and a beautiful girl sits down. After a few minutes of small talk she says That's a Patek isn't it?. Feeling stupid and more than a little worried I say Nope, just a cheap copy. Looking at my wrist in almost total darkness from 3 feet away she says Yeah, it's too big to be that calendar stop watch they make... what's that one called again?. I'm thinking 'how the hell does this chick know about a 3970?'. Why the interest in watches baby?, says an uncomfortable HRC. I can sort men by their watches and shoes says the expert. Rolex guys are all flash, avera
