IWC IWC 26083 wrist watches news:
Anyone have experience with Vernier Suisse winder ?
So I was reading through the "fake watches for fake people" thread. i did a search on identifying fake rolexes. One sight noted the movement of the second hand. I only have one automatic, it's an ETA 2892-2 movement. What I was wondering is the second hand movement smoother on more expensive watches?
I got to see Watchmen a couple of days ago. Here's some watch related info from the movie. The character Dr. Manhattan grew up the son of a watch maker. There was a scene in the movie involving a young John Osterman, (he becomes Dr. Manhattan as an adult), being taught how to disassemble and reassemble a watch by his father. The watch was unbranded and looked vintage but was still cool to see all the bits and pieces laid out on the watchmakers workbench. The only other reference that I noticed involved a Timex that stopped ticking before taking a licking.
Hi All,I'm currently in Ireland and have seen a Hour Vision black dial on a strap that I am quite keen on.I already have a blue bond smp and a simple deville from 2002.I have been keen on a GMT SMP (bond) but not sure if they come in black. However, the price I can get the Hour Vision for is just a fraction more than the price I could get a GMT for, so am thinking of going for the Hour vision.Also. Does anyone know if the HV is meant to come in a wooden box or just the plain red one?Cheers.
For some reason, I am not a fan of numbers in product names. GMT-MASTER II seems to imply a III will come later, and it takes away from the timeless aspects of the watch, imo. Anyone else feel this way? Love the new pepsi ss but I can¡¯t bring myself to purchase because of the name.
