Hublot 1951.NM40.1 wrist watches news:
The 5th and 6th digit in your model number are the last 2 stamped on the back of your case. I know a few but I could use help filling in the blanks. It seems there is some crossover here; look at the SO & Colt below21 = Emergency Professional22 = Navitimer35 = Colt Chrono40 = Colt SuperOcean45 = SuperOcean Professional50 = Colt ChronoOcean, Colt SuperOcean, Colt quartz, Cockpit Big Date52 = Chronomat56 = Chronomat Evolution58 = Chrono Cockpit62 = B-170 = Avenger Seawolf, Super AvengerLet's see if we can collaborate and get a complete list. I tried this on another site but had no cooperation. For what little time I've spent here it seems members are more forthcoming and want to have this info available. I had a line on a store copy Breitling book but that went south (another story for later) and I bet we can deduce the whole reference number as a team.
Just picked up this Raliegh Engraved over the weekend:I have a question regarding the case colors. According to the Vintagewatch.info website, these watches were avaliable in both green and yellow gold filled. I've not been able to find a good picture of a green gold filled version. Mine seems a little paler than the yellow gold buckle on the strap. Please note that my lighting scheme isn't very good and all the pictures I take seem to be on the yellowish side.A seller's picture of the back. The color is more accurate to real life:So how does one tell the difference between green and yellow gold? One of the problems I've encountered is that while digital photography on the internet is wonderful, color palettes can be very misleading. Here is the Yellow Raleigh page from Vintagewatch.info:vintagewatch.info/Detail%...-%20Yellow.htmIf this example is a green gold one, are they considered more desirable than yellow gold? Thanks in advance for any help, gatorcpa
I fell in love with a picture of this watch 10 years ago. I finally found one.it's a 14790, 36mm, which is fine for my skinny wrist. thanks for looking.
