Hublot Hublot 30099 wrist watches news:
A dear friend of mine here in Blighty was given a brand new Seamaster Planet Ocean Chrono, ref 2218.50.00, by his good lady. Had I not had a similar experience myself a few years back, I would never have believed what happened next. The watch lasted two days. The movement seized up completely and the AD replaced it without question. The new watch lasted a week. It lost time randomly, sometimes as much as two hours in a day, and the chrono function never worked. It was replaced again. Watch number three is now on the blink, also losing several hours a DAY and stopping randomly. The unfortunate owner ordered ANOTHER watch, and while waiting for delivery hung on to watch number three to check its reliability. For one whole day it kept time, then stopped again. When he tried again it lost an hour in one day. This model is apparently guaranteed for three years, one more than the series of Speedmaster models I had in the mid noughties. It took me three to find one that worked, from new. I rem
For our 50th wedding anniversary my wife gifted me a classic 1984 Rolex oyster perpetual datejust . This is my first experience with a Rolex and I'm very pleased. However, The watch dial and hands do not glow in the dark. I believe the glow agent is tritium and has a half-life of 12 years.. Is there some way to "re-charge" or repair the tritium? Any advice or direction will be greatly appreciated.
I promised myself when I went on the factory tour. No watches. Period. My collection was complete. Even did a thread on it.Hmm.Then I saw the 5159 in the room with the Grand Complications.Still, I am not getting another watch. Or trading any.Back home went to the AD to drop a bottle of wine off as a thank you...There in a display case, for the first time in my AD was the 5159. In white gold.So after much deliberation the Nautilus has gone in today as deposit against the 5159.Then I actually think the collection of pateks is as good as I can get it...5527: Yellow Gold. Simple watch and Pateks signature piece.5070: Rose Gold. Complicated watch.5159: white Gold. Grand complication.Just got to figure out where to the get the remaining money from now..
So here it goes. I am thinking of selling my Panerai 088 as I don't wear it much and I have been secretly admiring two other watches. One is the almighty 372, and the other more recently as I tried it on at my local AD is the Rolex Explorer ll polar( white face). I had no idea that the Polar was going to sing to me the way it did. So, I am about to sell my 088 to a friendof mine and I am torn on which to buy. If I buy the Rolex I can buy it here in my hometown from the AD with a discount as a repeat customer. If I decide on the 372, well I have to buy from one of our TRF trusted sellers or from Watchuwant based in Miami which I will be visiting in a couple of weeks and stress myself out with smuggling my Panerai across the US/Canada border. What do I get? Regardless, I will have both by the end of the calendar year as I have a sickness like most of you and won't sleep until I have both!
Hello,Hope you are all well.Do you guys remember this thread?A gentleman whose son had passed away in an accident, whilst wearing his watch. That watch was later engraved by one of the reputable watchmakers during service.I remember reading it a few years ago, and it was quite emotional. If anyone has a link to that thread, I would really appreciate it.
