Invicta 17417 wrist watches news:
Hublot extends ceramic even further by releasing the first high-end watch with red ceramic. Red is now added to white, black, blue, brown, and gray which are used in more and more watches each year as ceramic's popularity increases. Hublot isn't new to taking the lead when it comes to novel materials. In the past we have seen them create special combinations of materials: for King Gold a mixture of copper and platinum is used to stabilize and colorize the precious metal while to create the?highly scratch resistant?Magic Gold an alloy of pure gold and ceramics had been invented. They also released the first red-tinted sapphire crystal in a timepiece. For Only Watch?Auction,?Hublot?wanted to add a unique flair to a material that has been becoming ubiquitous in the entire industry in line with the red theme color of the charity auction.Used for the bezel, this new bright red ceramic is straight from the foundries and R&D dungeons of the manufacture. The brand premieres it with its one
Hello, maybe some of you will remember me as the 19 year-old who was contemplating purchasing an expensive watch (submariner to be specific). I've still been on this site alot reading stuff I find interesting, I just don't have to much to say because i haven't had too many revelations. Anyways I found this watch that i really like and was wondering if anyone could give me their thoughts/info on it, as you guys and gals know much more about these things than I do. The most important piece of information i'm looking for is a ball-park figure on the price that i could use as a reference point. I've posted a picture and all the information given to me.images.sflmaven/2008.09.18/john/123-1.jpgCAL. 3035CASE REF. #16014SERIAL #7492XXXYEAR ca 1982
Just got this 1965 Mulco Escafandra Super Compressor into the rotation after a serious rehab. This watch was T O A S T when I got it a couple of years ago, not running, dial seriously toned, case beat up; just plain ugly...If I remember correctly I paid $10 plus shipping for it, bought via eBay...yes, the auction ended after midnight, but the watch was far from a creampuff.Rec'd it and loved the case (Seamaster-esque?) and dial so decided to restore it.I would post before pics but they all got lost in a pc crash. I detailed the case, had the mvt overhauled, located some NOS hands, had dial refinished in LA, CA. When I got the dial back it looked like a q-tip was used to paint the lume in, so I sent it to International Dial.Got it back and it looked great, but was refinished in GOLD instead of silver. Back it went. Rec'd it back a few weeks ago but have only today found the time to put it back together. This is one of those watches that I just can't find a bracelet that matches...you
Hello to all, new member and possibly new Hamilton owner here. I am considering a Roman numeral and dateless Intramatic from the late 1960s. Watch will go to auction and appears sound and supposedly serviced. Being new, I am naturally cautious about fakes (possibility?) and something assembled from foreign parts. I am also curious about the serial numbers , can anyone advise the sort of numbering I should expect to find. The watch simply states Hamilton Intramatic in two lines beneath the 12. The word Geneve does not appear. Any advise would be gratefully accepted. Thank you. John.
Hey guys please check out my post-OM anniversary field trip. I started it over in the Japanese forum.
