I bought my first Hamilton this week its a Navy automatic. So far I love it! I used to be a citizen eco-drive nut, but I still had to have the battery in them replaced every couple of years! What's the point then of having a solar powered watch if it still needs a battery. After searching on-line and reading a couple of the posts I decided on this one. I hope it will hold up I have a tendency to destroy watches at work with both salt water and rusty metal, which don't work well with watches.
Okay, so this should be in the Swiss forum. My watchmaker just sent this pic of the wife's Longines all reassembled and just being adjusted at the moment. He remarked on how good the condition of the movement is considering its age. Speaking of which, I think you can get the manufacture date if you email Longines with the serial number? Is this right - and anyone have a quick link to the address? (otherwise I'll actually have to do some work and search for it myself...)
Anyone gotten one of these babies? Would love to read a review! Trying to find time to go down take a look. The AD told me the black is in, sliver will be in end of the month
