Breitling Navitimer World - History, Tips, Advice
Hello,I'm new to this site, but I thought I would post a short note. Just got my first high-end watch; a Breitling Navitimer World. As a professional pilot, this is pretty much my dream watch (I also considered the Cosmonaut and the Omega Speedmaster moon watch. The IWC Big Pilot Watch is out of my price range).Any advice on care, maintenance, model specific tips or things to watch out for?Can anyone give me a brief history on this watch? Thanks in advance! Best Birthday gift I could've got
Today a very dear friend of mine gifted me this as my birthday present. I had been looking for this since the past few months. I don't know how he managed to get his hands on one but he knew I wanted one and bad. Took the pics in a bit of a hurry. Couldn't have asked for more.next I tried my hand at a longer exposure of 1 sec to capture the seconds hand sweepA lume shot with 15 sec exposureI'm just overjoyed. BTW, it came with a very cheap looking rubber strap which I got replaced with a leather strap within minutes of getting the watch.Please tell me how you like it. Thanks for viewing

Servicing period for a non daily wearer
The servicing period of a mechanical watch, is 5 to 7 years, right?Now, I guess that this period is for a watch used as a daily wearer, or not?How about servicing watches that are beign used just a day in a two or three week period? do they have to be serviced in the same 5 to 7 year basis? considering that they are not working during the off-wrist time (no winder), just sitting stopped...

First Rolex - 30th Birthday
Looking to get my first rolex for my 30th. Couple of questions for the forum. Any thoughts on these models: Explorer 2 (Polar) 216570, GMT Master II, Submariner (Ceramic and pre-ceramic)? It would be an everyday wearer (desk job).Thoughts on new vs preowned. Have been able to find most of the models outlined above for around $6.5K with the exception being the 116610 subC date. I have located all of these at an AD as well so I do have the option to purchase new. All comments welcome.
