For 2011, the collection expands with the addition of a classically elegant example. State of the Collection-December 2008
Hey Everyone:I thought I'd share what the collection looks like today. I added two pieces this year, both GMT's. One was a Sinn 857, the other is a Ball Aviator GMT.As some of you know, my grandfather was a watchmaker so I have a few of his pieces. My wife found me the 1926 Hamilton Square for my 40th. wedding present to my future wife
after deliberating a few weeks on what to buy for my future wife as a wedding present to remind her of the day, (tying the knot in a little over 2 weeks) i decided on a watch. now, the good lady is quite 'classical' in terms of taste, so nothing too sporty, ie tag, or chunky, so was looking at a few brands including omega, raymond weil, invicta, oris, rado and longines. at the weekend, i decided to buy the longines as:-a- it was slimb- had classical looksc-was well regardedd-matched both her engagement ring and wedding ring.it has a mother of pearl face, and diamonds where the hour markers are. all in all, i think she will be very happy with it i would of loved to have got it engraved, but if she didnt like it, then there would be no way she could change it.a piccy:-

Strap for Diver - same as AP 44mm
Does anyone know if the strap on Diver is same dimensions as an AP 44mm? Same lug and buckle width? Looking to get one and play with the straps. Thanks

3570.50 or 35th Anniversary?
I've narrowed down my selection for a Speedmaster. The choice is now between the original or the 35th anniversary. At one point I had considered the Snoopy Dial especially after seeing Kringkily's ads but then realized I would probably keep it as a collector than actually wear it.The history behind the original model can't be beat but the white dial of the 35th is great to look at. It would be great to have both but I prefer only one version of each watch I purchase (sub, GMT, etc.). So which would you prefer?
