Invicta 6257 wrist watches news:
I have always loved world time watches, and have been on the lookout for a Hamilton world timepiece for quite a while. This one showed up over the weekend, and it is in beautiful shape. There is a battery change sticker on the back of the case noting "Battery Change 6/95." Don't know if this kind of sticker was meant to indicate when the next battery change would be needed, or whether it indicates the date on which the battery was actually installed. One way or the other, I guess this particular model is a 90's Hamilton. All of the original packaging is intact, which is kinda neat. Strap also looks like it may be original, with "Hamilton" stamped on the back. In any event, here is the unveiling...Cheers,Jazz
Hi Friends, im new in TRF and ive been a silent reader so far. Now im in a big dilemma and need your guys advise on this.I have my ss diver 15703 and loving it so far (gorgeous watch indeed). But ive been deeply in love in aquanaut both 5165 or 5167 since last year. For me aquanaut is much better watch than nautilus (i know i know most of you guys wont think the same). And just yesterday i got offer from a watch dealer that they have a 5165 preowned with cert only without boxes. Because i kinda have no budget to purchase a new watch, the only option at this moment to get 5165 is to switch it with ap 15703. This is the only watch that i have that have the closest value to 5165. So what do you guys think bout this offer? Just for your info is i need to pay around usd3500 more to upgrade to 5165 with no box and only have the certificate on it. Thanks in advance for your advise.
Well for those who were curious to whether the 'old' style speedy bracelet would fit the new SMP-C the answer is a resounding yes . No machining needed at all and you can use the SMP-C spring bars (which I believe are the same as the 'old' SMP ones)...I am really digging this combo . This is actually the fully brushed (sides and middle links) speedy bracelet form the GMT. It looks less busy than the bond, is lighter (then the new SMP-C bond at least) and I also like the fact that it tapers slightly to 18mm at the clasp. The only downside it uses friction pins rather than screws. A couple crappy HTC photos but at least you get the idea ...
I just had a horrible experience with my Pam90 which brings me to question what I did wrong.I pulled my watch out of my box and wound it to about 50%. I then set the time to 9:30 pm. I then tried to change the date. The date wheel kept getting stuck halfway through the change. I didn't have a problem changing the date by advancing the time 24 hours though.I then changed the time, setting it forward a few hours and then tried to change the date again. No luck.I tried this several times thinking that maybe I just didn't have the crown in the right position. Got to a point where the date wheel was stuck halfway and wouldn't budge at all. I then cycled the time by 24 hours and the date didn't change at all like it had done before. Kept advancing the time and on the 3rd cycle the date changed. I then advanced the time to 12 noon and then the date changed worked fine...I then tried to change the date using the hour hands again and now the date changes at 3 am and not midnight...Any
Anyone notice it? New white and black dial
