- I was looking for something to show my love for Harry Potter in a way and this is the perfect item. I can wear it everyday and show it off to the friends who know HP. My only complaint is that the front can scratch easily if you wear the watch face down on your wrist (those who do are used to this common blem). Overall, I love this watch.

I've had a local jeweler refuse to polish my two-tone stainless steel Seiko Kinetic. Recently I accidentally swam with this watch and destroyed it, failing to remember that it is not water resistant to any depth. Now I'm in the market for a new gold colored watch. I have a couple of silver colored watches to go with my white gold jewelry - one Seiko Perp Cal and one Bulova Marine Star. These watches are all silver colored and can be polished for about $100. Now I need a new gold or two-tone watch to go with my yellow gold jewelry. The thing is, I don't want to buy another stainless steel two-tone watch if cannot get it polished. The jeweler who refused to polish my two-tone SS watch recently told me that the reason is that the gold colored parts are probably only plated, and polishing the watch would cause this color to come off - essentially ruining the watch. If this claim is true, then I consider these watches that are not solid gold to be somewhat disposable. Sure they last a go
these seem forerunners tech-wise, & fairly popular among members, so why no forum? (i'm not volunteering btw)
