Invicta 0347 wrist watches news:
Twenty-one years ago the Bulova School of Watchmaking in New York City closed its doors. As the staff was cleaning and packing, they came across an extensive library of horological books and ephemera. Some of the books were hand-bound in leather, adorned in gold leaf, with personal dedications from the authors. Others were extremely old, dating from the 18th century. In addition, they found hand-calligraphed meeting minutes and accounting records. All of these items comprised an incredible horological resource and they were not sure what to do with them. The staff needed to be out of the building at the end of the day and hand over the keys. Urgent calls were made and that same day a large van arrived to retrieve the library. The books were quickly piled into the van and driven off. Storage was found in NYC’s Upper West Side and the library was locked away for decades. 2 OF 14 The library in question is one of the largest collections of rare horological texts in the
The watch maketh the man, not his clothes. At least, that’s our line of thinking at HODINKEE. But sartorial choices have come under scrutiny this week. After entertaining the idea that watches could in fact be worn with a tuxedo (shocker, right?), we take a look at a new collection of tailor-inspired and tailor-made watches from Vacheron Constantin. 1 OF 12 Capitalizing on the resurgence of style, as defined by men who shop exclusively on Saville Row and have Pitti Uomo saved in their calendar for the next ten years, Vacheron Constantin have teamed up with the world’s oldest fabric manufacturer, Vitale Barberis Canonico, for a sartorial debut of sorts. 2 OF 12 3 OF 12 Unveiled this morning in Paris, on the opening day of the Journées Européenes des Métiers d’Arts (JEMA), the "Elegance Sartorial” collection faithfully re-creates famous woven patterns such as the Prince of Wales check, using the maison&r
I usually post on TimeZone - a few of us went to BaselWorld on Friday.John read my report and asked me to post it here as he thought you guys might be interested. Here we go...I am going to have to link to it though - as the HTML code on each forum works differently and there is too much work involved to re-format the HTML for each forum :-(It is a large post with a lot of large photos - so be careful your modems don't overheat! Here is the link:forums.timezone/index.php...6900&rid=11125All the best,Harry
I had the chance to photograph a friends 1815 WG blue dialed and his "midsize" L1 PT. Amazing pieces....These photos are quick and dirty, not quite tweaked yet...
Hey Guys,Im about to purchase my very first AP. I have gone throw the model lineup and discovered that the model i want does not quite exist. I would like to have the Royal Oak Equation of Time (.audemarspiguet/en/wat...uation-of-time) but with the skeleton dial from the Juels Audemars collection (.audemarspiguet/en/wat...T.OO.D002CR.01). The calibre 2120/2808 is the same on both models. I have not yet approached AP with my idea. What do you guys think, is it technically feasible and what the reaction from AP would be? will they even allow it even if its possible?I also made some photoshopping of how the watch will look. I havent decided yet whether whether i want it in steel or gold so i made both versions. I also changed the brown strap to black one on the gold version. Do you know if there is a rubber strap available for this model?
