Jaeger LeCoultre 146.2.02 wrist watches news:
First off I want to thank everyone for all the information that you have posted on this Forum. Im brand new to Omega, I have really been only collecting Breitlings. But after stumbling onto this Forum I have really taken a closer look at Omega. I have to say I truly love the quality of my First "of Many" purchases The Omega Speedmaster Professional, From The Moon To Mars.Another thing I love is that a week after I bought this Watch Omega sent me a little "Thank you" Package!!This is a Fantastic company and cant wait to get my 2nd, 3rd, 4th, well you get the idea. I do have one question though, does Omega send out other gifts the more watches you buy?
Did someone change the background of the Omega forum to Red? If so, can a user change it to something else (personalized settings)? The red is tough on the eyes, and reminds me to much of a stop light.
I have owned an 18K/SS Rolex Submariner since 1997, and over the 12 years I've had it, I have beat the living snot out of it. I've smashed it against cars, steel doorjambs, and support poles. I've worn it playing golf hundreds of times, diving, sailing, basketball, tennis you name it. It has been bumped, rubbed, slammed,, scraped and smashed against every kind of surface you can name. The watch had been in for routine service twice, and has always kept very good time, currently gaining less than 1 second/day. I am amazed that as badly as I have treated it, there has never been the hint of a hiccup in it's function. Even more remarkable is that cosmetically, it's in outstanding shape. The crystal is perfect, the bracelet is near perfect, the bezel, trim ring, stem and case are very good and almost require a loop to find flaws. Both times it has been in for service, it has been "restored" cosmetically so now only the soft gold end links show signs of significant use. My experience, thoug
I note that much discussion and pride is regarding the Daytona, GMT and Subs...not too much is expressed regarding the Presidential Oyster Perpetual Day/Date (which after, many years of wanting one, I finally bought mine this New Year). My watchbox shows my latest acquisition.Probably for the last 10-15 years I've admired the day/date, but choked on the price. I decided this new year to finally do it and make the purchase.I guess you youngsters consider the day/date to be an "old man's watch", but to me it is the epitome of what a Rolex is. With all that said, my readings within this forum has kindled an interest in the Daytona.I have the feeling that my next watch is going to be one (assuming my wife doesn't nix this grand idea!).Interestingly, I kinda hide the watch under my shirt sleeve. I am embarrased for onlookers to see such an outrageous display of affluence, I guess. But, for me personally, I get a thrill everytime I look at the watch. Saul
I just received a Revue Thommen Heritage, black sunburst-like dial. From certain angles, it looks wer-ink glossy with slight, extremely uniform depressions around the applied markers, date window, logo, and center. From most angles, you see the sunburst effect. I would post photos, but my digital camera is unavailable. The depressions are very slight and seem perfectly uniform. Thoughts about the dial material/application of markers, etc.?
