One thing I have noticed about all the forums I post on is that there is at least 1 post per month requesting AD information for the purchase of a 2254. And I noticed this even before the 2254 was discontinued. This watch has quite a following of admirers. As an owner of a 2254 I feel privileged to have one in my collection. When I bought the watch I did not think it was as popular (my pre-forum days) as the 2531.80. Nor did I ever think it would be sought after. What attracted me to it was (1) the luminous dial; it was the best I had ever seen and better than the 2531.80 and (2) the baton hour markers; whenever I have an option I always prefer batons over dots. Based on these main reasons and a couple others to support them, I can say with confidence I have no intention of parting with my 2254. It is a keeper. -Bond
A buddy of mine is forwarding this watch to me for evaluation. I have never seen one quite like this. Both the subdial and the red and white hand are both running second hands. They don't line up with each other, and there doesn't seem to be a way to stop or reset either of them. The watch does hack. My friend is up there in years and can't get the back open. I won't know the movement until I receive the watch.Anyone one know what it is or why there are two second hands?
While feeding my addiction of looking at watches on the web I stumbled across this watch which I'd never seen before but am totally enamored with. Apparently it's a re-edition of a vintage Heuer Carrera but searching the web I can find very little information on it or the original model. From what I've found it was released in the mid-'90s and is model #WS2112 but it doesn't seem to be for sale anywhere as it was probably a limited edition and has been discontinued. If anyone knows more about it (or the original model) I'd love to know more. Thanks :-)
