Jaeger LeCoultre 250.2.86 wrist watches news:
I am a newbie here and this is my first post. I first signed up on the Rolex Forums site to get some information on purchasing my first Rolex. During my research, I exchanged a couple of messages with my fellow Vancouverite, HockeyBrand, who helped me get a feel for the Rolex market in Vancouver. I finally decided on the Submariner No-Date model and posted my experience on the Rolex Forums site. After exchanging a couple more messages with HockeyBrand, he suggested that I come aboard this forum so that I can share pics of my purchase and get to meet more watch enthusiasts. Before I begin, I just have a word of warning: unlike the rest of the members, I¡¯m not a font of knowledge, so my posts will probably be limited to me expressing the beauty of other members¡¯ timepieces or asking newbie questions. Below are some pics of my Submariner, so please enjoy.
Please call the GDF on the white courtesy phone. What's he been doing lately - taking a sabbatical from all the recent travel?
I was reading the latest issue of Watch Time, and they had a few articles in there about Hayek Sr. Pretty interesting stuff, but they kept referring to his chairmanship of the Swatch group in the present tense, which I found really strange since he passed away a few months ago. They made no mention of it that I saw. I actually had to go to the computer and check to make sure I was remembering correctly. Did anyone else see this and think it a bit odd?
I honesty had NO intention on buying a watch but this presented itself and I showed no willpower. I got a SS bracelet and a Snoopy strap as well so this watch will have four different looks (actually 3 for me I dislike Natos). Absolutely thrilled with it!!!! I can't get over how much I'm enjoying. Also, a shoutout to my NY bros- Seth and Chadri for some enabling and advice!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
For all the Omega owners who tinker/customize their Seamasters.... has anyone swapped the hands on the mid-size Seamaster (36.25mm) with the arrow hands from a Planet Ocean? I got a nice offer for a Seamaster 2222.80 recently, but the hour/minute hands just don't do it for me, but the arrow hands wouldn't look out of place on such a watch... any thoughts on this?
