How many of you wear your Rolex to the gym, gardening, washing the car, painting,etc?
I always wear my Rolex now - even if I'm cleaning the deep dish wheels of my car, even at the gym lifting barbells. I just make sure I'm really careful with it and that it doesn't clang into any metal objects! When I'm cleaning the car wheels, I just make sure that I use my right hand to get in there deep, the hand that doesn't hold my watch (as it would get scratched). When doing grimy, sweaty, dirty yard work, I don't bother taking off my watch but try to never smash it against anything. I've been lucky so far and neither watch is gouged and the bezel on my YM is surprisingly perfect. There are alot of fine scratches on the bracelet of both watches but that's to be expected and neither watch is noticeably worn badly to the casual eye. I used to worry about wearing them to the gym and cleaning my car with them on, but I've come to the conclusion that life is too short to totally baby them. Hamilton Oakmont, Male lugs broken/drilled?
There is a very desirable Hamilton Oakmont ending tonight on eBay. I can't get a straight answer from the seller. Any opinion as to whether this example should have male lugs? Have these been broken off /drilled out?? The eBay listing is 280758849056

Finally picked up a Radiomir
After missing a nice 210 on the board three weeks ago I was on a mad hunt for another Radiomir. Couldn't find one for the same price/condition/full set anywhere afterwards, but patience has never been a stong suit of mine. In the meantime, I started looking at the 380 but wanted my last Panerai to be a sandwich dial.Found this 232 by accident, but the seller's pics weren't so hot and of course sometime in the past the prior owner changed out the original strap and buckle. Pretty much wrote it off. I had been talking with Mik, and he convinced me to have another look. The seller provided more watch pics and sent info on the books, boxes, stickers, warranty card, and other pieces. Made an offer, and was very happy at what was delivered.Really have to thank Mik for his generous help. Without it I would have never ended up with a 232. This forum is full of such great people.
