Jaeger LeCoultre 706.84.20 wrist watches news:
I've seen a few wrist shot of these watches, but I was wondering if anyone out there has more photos they would be willing to post.
Building up a relationship with a good seller. This will gain you two (actually 3) advantages. First:1) Understands YOU He understands exactly where you want your collection to go. He then keeps an eye out for watches that he believes will suit your collection, and of course offer them to you first.Remember you can collect 'vertically' i.e. Illinois Watches or you can collect 'horizontally' i.e. Trench watches/Hermetic watches/Automatics.2) KnowledgableA good seller will know Horology/Watches. He will know some provinance as to the watches he sells, he has probably had them serviced. This knowledge will be 'candidly' imparted to you.Remember; "There is no substitute for knowledge'3) EmpathyYou will, in my experience get a better, fairer deal from a seller that knows , respects and is trying to help you.I have two mentors, one I buy my greatest watches from, the second a lady who has an outstanding eye and knowledge of watches.Now. I collect 'horizontally' i.e. accross markets in t
Hi All,i am in major dilemma and I need your help and suggestion.Should I trade my Rolex Daytona White dial (116520), Submariner (!4060M) and Explorer 2 Black (16570) for AP ROO Chrono Navy brand new?I am dig the look of the AP for quite some time now and I am afraid that I will regret for doing this. What do you think guys? Am I crazy enough to swap 3 watches into 1 watch?
My wife purchased a ladies Seamaster DeVille watch at a local auction recently. It works well enough but the face could do with a clean. We think the watch is from the '60s. It is an 18mm gold-plated case with a stainles steel back on which is a seahorse with the word SEAMASTER above it and the Omega logo underneath. Under that is the word 'waterproof'. I believe the back is not a screw type but cannot find any crevice in which to insert a small tool to prise it off so that the internal numbers can be checked. Does anybody know when the Seamaster deVille range was made and if there is any other information on this site on the range etc. Thank you.
I was passing my AD today and so thought I¡¯d pop in for a coffee and a chat..He brought out 2 pieces to show me.. one was a 5711 blue dial which I¡¯ve never tried on before - Not avail to buy but he also brought out a steel 5164 which was for sale.. we chatted about it and I was tempted but in the end when side by side with my 5167r I decided either it wasn¡¯t the right next Patek for me or at least not today..Was I right?Deal was List priceI think had it been a piece that was going up by 20% then it would def have been more likely going home with me.. but as it was I just felt that it didn¡¯t sing to me in the way my RG one did...
