Longines Longines 30178 wrist watches news:
Not sure this warrants a whole new thread; maybe we can put it down as another "incoming" thread. I was surprised to to find that Hamilton's c1957 casino watch has not been mentioned to date in this forum. Having just 'accidently' won the auction for this number I thought I'd better add the missing model to the archives...I say accidently because I went in with what I felt was a low ball and won. While I should be excited, I am instead a bit concerned. Firstly It's yellow gold and I've only seen reference to Casinos being 14K solid white gold. Secondly the hands on this one are so wrong and thirdly, what is going on with the 'gunsight' marking on the subseconds dial (Admittedly it doesn't look so bad in the image of the dial by itself) and finally, don't know anything about the 730 movement; not seen it any of the watches I'm usually interested in?Would appreciate your responses to these concerns. Thanks!stales
I am torn between othe PAM 113 or 111. I like the looks of both, especially the white dial, but white dial PAMs don't seem to be very popular? Anyway, which would you chose and why? Thanks!

The title says it all! I'd love to see some 8500 caliber Omega Planet Oceans! I have one on order and I am anxiously waiting it's arrival!
Hi allFirst of all thanks to all of you who replied to my thread with regards to choosing between a 5712 and a 5164. Really helpful comments.I got a msg from my AD about a week ago telling me that I had been allocated a 5712G that was to arrive on April 1.I still hadn't decided between the 5712G and the 5164. I told my AD contact I was probably leaning towards the 5164 however I didn't want to miss the opportunity to see the Nautilus in the flesh so in I go to check it out. I'm the first customer in the door. I look at the 5712G from every angle for quite a while. It's a beautiful piece but it just wasn't singing to me... I wanted to look cool like Paul McCartney and George Soros! 😉 So I tell the AD that I just can't do it and will wait for the 5164. He asks me if I'm sure and I say yes. He signals to his co-worker and within 30 seconds out she comes with a double sealed 5164! He says surprise! April Fools! Wasn't sure if I was annoyed or ecstatic or both. Probably both! Anyway
