At the 2012 Baselworld watch fair, Breguet has introduced the newest addition to its emblematic ¡°Tradition¡± collection, the Breguet Tradition 7047BR Tourbillon Fusee in 18k rose gold. This Grande Complication timepiece, which features a tourbillon, fusee and chain transmission, and a Breguet balance spring in silicon, joins the existing models in yellow gold and platinum. Inspired by the legendary souscription watches created by Abraham-Louis Breguet, the watch has a tourbillon and a fusee-and-chain transmission located on the upper part of the mainplate. This sculptural design of the dial highlights the contrast and relief effects of the various components. Breguet obtained four patents for the systems used in this watch. In 2006, Breguet presented the first watches with silicon balance springs and escapements. The flat silicon balance springs, made using a raised terminal curve, also became known as a ¡°Breguet overcoil.” The rose gold re-edition of the Tradition 7047PT also feat

Came across my father's old watch and was wondering if it could be refinished, would it be worth it to refinish and maybe sell it. Back of watch says M68 and it does still work. Says Automatic and Super Waterproof-(which means?). It's seen some wear and tear. I would hate to get rid of it, but medical bills have to be paid. Also how do you tell if a watch is fake or not, I picked up a Rolex watch when I was in Iraq, but I have a feeling it was a Folex(fake Rolex)I had bought it for 5 bucks off a kid. It still works and tells time, but was wanting to check it out, I'd sell that one 1st of course. Any help would be appreciated and I'll try to get a pic of them both. Thank you for your info and help.
Since no one has started a daily thread yet, I thought I would give it a go. As the thread title implies, post whatever style of Hamilton you wish.I just now got my Murray and Cabot back from the watch shop. I've already got the Murray strapped up and on my wrist, so that is what I'll share. The strap for the Cabot is at home and will have to wait. I owe thanks to Tom (vintagehamiltons) on both of these. The Cabot I purchased from his "overstock" and the Murray is now wearing a NOS crystal that was graciously given to me by Tom. This is a lousy picture, but all I could manage in my office. Here is to a great weekend for everyone Without further ado, the Murray (cataloged 1955-57).
I have always wondered if light brassing is fixable by a jeweler. Does any one have experience with this? Thanks
