Longines L8.111.5.87.6 wrist watches news:
I'm not sure if this is the appropriate forum for this.. but here goes...On Monday of last week my watch collection was stolen out of my home. It was a small one but it had some good stuff for sure. Three were family heirlooms...Anyway, here is the question, and I know it's a long shot. Is anybody know where I could purchase an Inlaid Enamel Square in Green Gold? Mine was from 1926. The second hand was on the 6. I have never ever seen one of these for sale so I thought I would check here. It doesn't have to be, and preferably wouldn't be, in great shape, just something that is still within restoration range. Thanks again for any help anyone can offer. Looks like I'll be scouting pawn shops here in the Chicago area for some time to come.RegardsMark

It's here. After DAYS of anxious waiting without any information, whatsoever, I'm finally united with my Invicta Pro Diver 7176. I'm still at office, but I'll post the pics as soon as I get a hand on a decent camera. Meanwhile here's a reference pic:Just one problem....I bought it off Ebay at an auction for around $135, but the seller forgot to remove the price tag, indicating that the watch costs $325. Neither did he include the invoice. So the customs charged me Rs3000 or around $60 as the duty :mad:Now I'll have to go and try and get my money back (which is next to impossible).Ill keep you guys updated
Digging around in my parts box I found two 2500b, one 1120, and a couple 2892 a2 movements.I know all are derivatives of the 2892, Do many parts interchange? Can i drop off the pile to an expert and get a couple working movements? Assuming the needed parts are functional.I'd rather reclaim a couple instead of parting out the lot.
Dear Friends....I`m owner of a Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra (Co-axial , one barell) Today, deside to wear this watch after three months of comlete immobility. Before wear it , I winded it up about 40 turns.I went to friend`s house and sat there for two hours next to a sound box. Since then, my watch stopped working. The situation is this : when I move watch with my hand doing a circle, the second`s hand counts for 5 secs and stops. Is my watch magnitised? Now after two hours my watch running just fine!!!Any ideas????? Should I worry or not???Any opinions???Sorry for my English....Thanks in advance..
