- I love the watch, it arrived in perfect conditions, I just hate the fact that they sent it without the warranty card, this means that if the watch gets damaged because of a factory defect I have to pay in order to fix it. This is a terrible practice.......... besides that Im really happy with the watch

Longines Longines 49700 wrist watches news:
Now Gals and GuysWe probably wear our (main ) watches on average 10 to 12 hours a day, right? The service interval of a cal 1120 SMP is approximately 5 years. So if you wear your watch 6 hours a day, would the service interval be lengthened proportionately? You may say that 6 hours a day may not be sufficient to keep the power reserve topped up but would this affect the watch? Let's assume that it doesn't and 6 hours is ample, what do you say to my original hypothesis?....at least before the men in white coats come for me Y'all be well now pals ZIN
As I spent a little time winding my automatics today a thought came into my head as I got to this one. This was my first "expensive" watch and I paid 105.00 for it in 1975.I was always fixated on watches and owned 3 Timexes as an early teen and I was very impressed by my Dads Acccutron "Spaceview" (I'm sure that was step # 1 in my WIS developement)Anyways-jump to present time-and I started to wonder about my watch obsession. This Zodiac Seawolf may well be the only watch that ,no matter what, I will never part with due to its history-every scratch, dent, ding, and other signs of age and abuse tells a story. The struggle to paint the insides of kitchen cabinets, the jostling around in the compartment of a golf bag along with the extra balls and tees over 18 holes ,or being stuffed into the toe of a sneaker at the beach so that it would be safe from thieving beach marauders. This watch was there for all of that and more for over 20 years! It has been overhauled only once and could use a new dial
Sorry for all the homage posts, but I'm desperately trying to remember the brand name of a AP RO homage maker. I'm pretty sure it was Dutch. If I remember correctly the watches were pretty good. Thanks,PrezTHANK YOU FOR NOT FLAMING

My wife wants to surprise me with a nice gift for our 10 year anniversary as well as a memento for a job transition. I think the 5524g might be the perfect Patek for me. It would be my first and I'd really like to get one with a GMT as I travel often and will be flying for the airlines. The only other options I know of would be either the Nautilus or Aquanaut with UTC function. To all those here with Patek knowledge and experience, would you go with the 5524g or another option?
