Cartier Astroregulateur Watch Flies In Space
2011 might be the "Astro" year for Cartier. Last year's Cartier Rotonde Astrotourbillon was such a hit that 2011 will have at least two new "Astro" watches. One will be the Calibre Astrotourbillon (with the Rotonde's existing movement), while this one is something totally different. The "Astroregulateur" (Astroregulator) has an escapement that is connected to the automatic rotor - that is mounted on the front of the dial.This concept is really confusing if you don't see it in action. Thankfully, there is a short video by SJX of the Purists on YouTube that we can check out that confirms what I assumed about how the movement worked. How's your collection trending?
As the title says, how's your watch collection been trending the past 6 months or so?Mine's been trending down as I consolidate pieces to open up space & funds for one or two special pieces. After maxing out around 25-30 watches, I decided I didn't like having so many in the collection as most either weren't worn that much, or not at all. So I've consolidated them down to about 8-10 (not including cheap beaters or sentimental-only pieces) and plan to reduce that number 2, maybe 3 more. then add 1 or 2. My goal is to limit myself to 10 watches maximum, preferably 7 or 8 emphasizing quality, not quantity. Otherwise they just don't get worn enough to justify their staying in the fold. I've also moved from a 90%+ diver-style collection to mixing things up, and having several different styles in the fold, and looking at new styles that would complement my collection whenever I consider a new piece. HelloI am interested in acquiring a pre-owned Rolex 116613 in this 2018. This watch was presented in 2008 and I suppose it will have had some improvements (it is a guess only) and I would like if you guys can tell me if there were any of those improvements and in what year it was so that at the time of my search I know which year It would have to be to at least have the most modern model. I guess the quote will vary for that reason despite being a used watch. What I know is that in 2010 the series begin to be random and that there were some changes in the models that come with the color blue (there is one that is called Smurf). I also seemed to see in some comments from the past (although I am not sure) that most of you are inclined to the blue. Anyway ... everything that can advise me is welcome.
