Michele MWW03M000141 wrist watches news:
here are some more!
I have a watch my kid gave me a Stuhrling Original with the above movement. It¡¯s a skeleton movement put out by PTS Resources. I guess Stuhrling and invicta and a host of others use this supplier. Here is the problem as you get old the vision starts to go lol. The hands have lume on the tips but rest of the hands are hollow, no lume. As you look at the hands, at least for me it makes it difficult against the skeleton movement. So I searched the net and negative results. The hands areHour hand :1.53Minute hand : .89I have a few plans:Plan A: Remove hands and fill in with lume, which I have.Plan B: hope someone here knows where I can get hands that will fit.Plan C: Buy hands with dimensions that are close and cross my fingersPlan C-1: buy hands with dimensions that are close make them fit and cross my fingersPlan D: Wear the watch on sunny days and also wear my good glasses then switch to my Seiko diver when it gets dark lolAny assistance is appreciated
Hi,Just want to share my experience and frustration.I bought Colt 44 in July and the movement had issues. In November I took it to the WTC boutique and they sent it to the SC in Connecticut.6 weeks later I got it back with scratches on the bracelet, side of the case and lower part (4-6) of the bezel. Naturally, I complained but was told that it is my fault. The center does not have any pictures of the watch before service or after service.... The best they offered to rectify this was $180 charge for polishing. Is my experience unique? Any advice? Thank you
This is my first post on this forum, so please bear with me if I make any rookie mistakes. I’ve been interested in buying a Rolex for a while. I recently received a promotion and am comfortable enough financially to buy a nice watch for myself. I work in financial services and am normally in a suit or blazer (sometimes tie, sometimes no tie) M-Thurs and dress classic casually Fri-Sun.What I want in a Rolex is a “nice” watch that can go seamlessly between suits and more casual occasions that is not too “showy” or “obvious,” yet still retains value well and is easily recognized as a nice, quality watch. In addition, I don’t really have interest in complications and such - I want a watch that will tell the time and maybe show a date. As a result, I am shying away from Submariners (very ubiquitous in my industry, seems too “showy”) and I am even hesitant about the GMT (a model that I’ve kind of dreamt about for years). IR
Bought my wife a 114200 this week. Her first Rolex!!When I almost had to pry my DJ 36mm from my wife¡¯s arm 2 months ago while her Tag was in for a battery I figured well that makes this years gift easy for me!! In her eyes all these years I¡¯ve been wearing ¡°silly watches¡± or ¡°they just tell time¡±!!!Funny how once you wear one for a while you don¡¯t want to let it go!!I got her the 34mm since she likes the bigger watch but with her tiny wrists my 36mm did look a little big. I hope she enjoys hers as much as I enjoy mine! Wrist shot to follow on the morning of the 25th!!!
