Sometimes you want something excessive and sporty; or perhaps something stunning and formal. A nicely designed watch without a hint of pretention, that will never let you down.Mido has a ton of history, and is now part of the Swatch Group. The brand is more popular in Asia, but can be found in the states as well. One of the brands most popular watches is the Mido Commander series, which has an incredibly 1950's look that is somewhere between classy and avant-garde.Other than the somewhat confusing name "Jubilee," this watch is nicely done. The large open face is done in a cream color with an IWC-like font for the Arabic numerals. The thin bezel adds to the elegance and appearance of size, while the star of the dial is really the crisp dagger hands. The case itself is 42mm wide with 5 bars water resistance.T

To all of the aquanaut and nautilus owners, I have a question: do you keep the top and the bottom straps or bracelets equal in length, or do you keep one side shorter than the other? Do you line up the clasp with any particular part of your wrist?

Wasn¡¯t expecting it to get this crazy so two have to go according to the old ladies orders (and me coming to my senses)Here is what I currently have. It is also in the best shape out of the 4 and completely unpolished5513 (1975):This is a watch I¡¯ve always loved and wanted. Also has a rare mk2 long 5 insert and came with a pre 63 7206 rivet bracelet (not pictured). No box or papers 16710 (N serial)Just love the patina markers on this. And it¡¯s a coke GMT which is badass. Original box but no papers (the dial has some slight signs of bubbling)16570 (L serial BIRTH YEAR)This has no box but original warranty papers.
