Movado 0605556 wrist watches news:
Here's the latest on my SMP 2531.80 which has been running fast. The watchmaker at my AD said that there's some spring or something that coiled over or whatever and that was what was causing my watch to run erratic. He overhauled the watch and straightend out whatever the problem was and he also said the rate adjust levers tension was fine, nothing there to fix and that the watch is now keeping to +2 sec per day in all positions. He's keeping it a few more days and wearing it as well and then he's going to double check the accuracy on the winder and set it for 0 seconds +/-. He's done this before and it stayed right on the money for a long time. I explained to him what I do at work and he suspects what I'm doing is too violent and causes the problems I've had with the watch. I'm skeptical but there has been a few times where I've gone to set the watch down on a counter or a table at home and missed it completely and my SMP landed face down on tiled concrete. OUCH! It's not like
Today I went to wear my Tissot 516 and I notice it wasn't running. So after awhile I thought I'll take a loupe to it. Then I seen my problem the movement holder with screw (don't know what it's called) but it was jam between the balance wheel. So I pop open the back case and with a small screw diver I gentle pulled it out this metal piece. Second problem was I knew the screw had to be somewhere it was trap underneath the balance wheel in the back where you can't see. After all of this watch wasn't working I gave the balance wheel a couple of turns it starting running on it own. After five hour it's still working fine. This was my first problem with my watches that I took care myself. Thought i share this with you. Probably needs a servicing now Here some pic's Lets see how many seconds I knock it off.
I wandered into the AP dealer in Singapore and picked up a 1.5 link for my 2008 15202. I have only just tried to fit it and it seems the pin is smaller diameter than the rest of the bracelet so it wont fit. The part number is MR 404 133 ST. Anyone know if i have a link for a different bracelet? It looks spot on bar the pin and thus holes being smaller than the rest of the bracelet. Many thanks, Rohan
