Movado 0606881 wrist watches news:
On February 11, on the eve of the 2012 Grammy Awards, Gucci Timepieces presented the third in its limited-edition Grammy collection of limited-production watches at a special event at the Grammy museum in Los Angeles ¡ª an event that also featured a live performance by Oscar and Grammy winner (and Gucci fan) Jennifer Hudson. The watch, called the I-Gucci Museum Timepiece, joins its predecessors, the I-Gucci Grammy in yellow-gold PVD and the I-Gucci Latin Grammy in rose-gold PVD, all of which were designed by Gucci¡¯s creative director Frida Giannini. The new model has a large, 49-mm case in polished gray PVD, with the inscription ¡°GRAMMY Museum Gucci Limited Edition¡± on the bezel and the Grammy Museum logo on the caseback. It has a Swiss quartz movement that offers a range of functions, including a digital time and dual-time-zone display (with an analog display option also available for the local time), a chronograph, countdown timer, tachymeter, pedometer and regatta timer for sailing. I was wondering if someone can help identify this watch.Recently my father passed away and this weekend we went to sort out his house and went through his stuff to figure out what goes where. My father was a bit of a character, he lived a bit, never really good with money, but he liked nice things, and lived pretty far beyond his means so he left me some bills. Among some of the things was a wooden box. Its something I remember as a kid growing up, he would put stuff in there wallet keys and also stuff that was a kind of momento. I found lots of corks from good wines with dates written on, some gambling chips from The Sands , a parking ticket from London England ? his car keys, passport, lots of European currency and amongst the stuff couple of watches. One is a 'Sin' brand kind of looks like a pilot watch, has the days in German, and there is a Rolex, or at least its printed Rolex on the dial. I did some research but the dial looks a bit wrong. There is a line of printing below the "2
New to the thread. Longtime AP lover. I just picked this up on Thursday, it is technically my 2nd AP. I bought the 44mm stainless the day it came out and loved it as my daily beater for 2 years until 6 months ago I decided to sell to clear up some cash to finish my new house. Right after I purchased mine I bought my wife the new ladies royal oak with diamond bezel(I did not sell hers lol) needles to say I finally got to buy what I consider to be my favorite current AP 44mm. I love the silver dial and contrasting sundials and bezel. Also I noticed a huge difference is the brushing definition on the ceramic bezel. So much deeper then in 2012.
Was a pleasure being invited to this event.Although I did not get to say hello to Mr Stern, I did meet Patek's #1 Ambassador - Mr Khalid who always has the the time to change a few words and jokes with me.An absolute Gentleman.
I¡¯ve started to become interested in Rolex¡¯s transitional models, specifically GMTs and the 16753. I think one of these would be a good complement to my 116610LN and 116300 silver stick. I hope this isn¡¯t too broad of a question, but in considering a purchase, what are the questions I should be asking? Thanks for any help.
