Omega cal. 565 wrist watches news:
Hello there, long time lurker here:Some of you might be familiar with this forum below:Long story short, I own four Pateks atm: One Annual, two perpetual and a world time. Earlier this year when 5550P came out my application was flat out denied (quite discouraging). Therefore I would like to take my time and gather some information before I send this application in.The watch of my choice would be the 5216R, I've seen quite a few people make their initial choice 5131 but I rather prefer a watch that is easy on the dial.PATEK PHILIPPE SA - Reference 5216My questions are: How long did it took one to get a successful application, how long afterwards did it take to get the watch delivered, what was put in the elaboration and the remarks, and overall, was the experience cherishful or stressful? All helps and opinions are appreciated!

So, I got the $10.00 watch winder that Tracy from Luxupak was running some time back. "Cool", I thought. So I plug the thing into the wall outlet in the bedroom, put the watch in (the Oris), and turn it on. Seems to work great.I turn out the light and leave the room.I wore another watch for the rest of that week. When I went to get the Oris, I was dismayed to see that it had stopped! I wrote to Tracy, telling her of my tale of woe.Well, long story short, I plugged the thing into a socket controlled by the light switch. Every time I left the room, I turned off the winder. It never dawned on me that it spinning every time I entered the room and turned on the light could've been anything more than coincidence. What a dolt.Anyway, I plugged the winder into another outlet, and all is now right with the world.I just can't believe I was that stupid!
A friend of mine has a Planet Ocean. He's looking for an indipendant to service it. He had bad luck with Omega's service. If anyone has any recommendations it would be appreciated. Thanks
