Philip Stein 2FFAMOPCB wrist watches news:
Hey guys! First post here. I have a SKX781 (Orange Monster Gen 1) and it recently started making a rattling sound and I could feel the rotor vibrating the case back as it turned. This did not happen for the first week or so when I had the watch but started one morning (about a week ago). The watch still works, date still changes and power reserve is fine, though this sound is worrying nonetheless.I decided to make a video to better explain the issue I'm trying to address. In each video, I first show the motion I am making with the watch, I then move the watch closer to the microphone for you to better hear the sound. This first video shows the winding sound of the watch, this is how I believe it should sound (just a bit loud) and I can feel it vibrating the case back.https://youtube/watch?v=nFiJXpBcuuwThis second video shows the worrying sound, as if the entire movement is moving within the case.https://youtube/watch?v=56l0TPjv6WsAny feedback is GREATLY appreciated. Cheers!
Which one would you choose ? And why ? I only have 1 kinetic and 4 Eco Drives. The kinetic failed me and I installed a capacitor and now it runs like a champ. My Eco Drives have never given me any problems. I am looking to buy a new addition, That is why I am asking.
The wristwatch will rise againYesterday; I was sent an interesting article out of magazine called Computerworld. The writer outlines nicely why he thinks that wristwatches shall rise again and that the times of the mobile phone watch only is coming to an end.Indeed, I guess that we in the industry will have to learn a few tricks in due course. And what shall today¡¯s wrist watch lovers do?Have fun reading the article and contemplating its findings.
Hi all,Recently I've been seeing a renewed interest in the Aquanaut so I thought I would post a quick review.I've worn my 5165 on a tropical strap nearly every day at the office for more than three years. During that time it has accumulated the expected scuffs, swirls and minor scratches, particularly on the bezel and clasp. Nothing I can't live with and none that distract from the overall good looks of this reference. The case is a well thought-out design with crown protectors and graceful lugs. It has just the right amount of contrast between polished and brushed surfaces.Because the watch is on the tropical strap it is supremely light. Some might consider its lightweight and thinness as a drawback, but for me it is perfect. The tropical strap merges seamlessly into the case making it look unique to most other watches. Whatever material it is made from, some type of rubber I suspect, it is suitable for all types of weather. If you sweat a lot in the summer this strap is fantastic. Af
This may seem like a stupid question but before I contact my AD I was curious if anyone knows if PP will sell just the solid gold bracelet for the newly released 5980R and if so would it fit on a 5712R. The banking on a gold bracelet 5712R but we got an awesome 5980R instead. Anywho, just curious. I know the case on the '80 is bigger then the '12 not sure about the lugs tho. Thanks!
