My first Hamilton watch, well sort of second as I did previously own a vintage Illinois watch from the 60's which was really a rebranded Hamilton. I picked this one up because I really liked the style and I was looking for a newer watch to add to my little hoard, nearly everything else I own is vintage. The model number is H765150 with a 27 jewelled ETA 2895 and it is 44mm wide excluding the crown, sapphire crystal front and back. The strap has a really nice soft feel to it and comes with the Hamilton "H" buckle with double holes along the strap. 44mm on the wrist was a bit of a shock, the next largest watch that I own is around 38mm. I never figured that a small 6mm would feel so much larger on the wrist. Time will tell if this one stays but after a couple of days on the wrist I am finding I don't have to strain my old eyes to tell the time. The caseback has a nice feature with the divided crystal and the phonetic alphabet down the middle bar.The watch was originally shipped new with

Can't link cause it's a business, so I'll have to wait for it to show a photo , but I just picked up a Powell for $36 .....hee hee hee .............looks to be nice too, and runs and keeps time.....and the band looks orginal also, but looks a lot more worn than the watch itself.....oh boy oh boy oh boy .....

16800 purchase advice
I'm still learning about Rolex (the deeper you go, the more you get lost) and have found I don't like the latest generation of Rolexes. I've been looking for something reasonable that had a vintage vibe to it. Ideally a 5513 but the ones with nice Patina seem to go for too much. I started looking at 1680 as I like the date wheel with the open 6 and 9. I came across this 16800 that has a nice dark patina to the markers and a ghosted bezel.Could you tell me if there's anything wrong with the watch and the price? So I know what to look for next time. Also, would you avoid purchasing from an international seller? Hello all, I'm thinking about sending an Explorer I to Dallas for it's basic 7 year maintenance. Anyone have any recent positive/ negative experience with this? What has the turnaround time been like?
