Cartier's solution was a square-cased watch to be worn on the wrist. While it wasn't necessarily the very first wristwatch, the Santos-Dumont model is believed to be the first one made specifically for men. The colorful aviator and his exploits helped popularize that style of timepiece, which eventually overtook the more traditional pocketwatch as the preferred timekeeper for both men and women in the 20th century. I was looking at watches recently and became intrigued with the history and style of the Luminor line.I have purchased a 510 and 562 within the last month and must say, I LOVE THESE WATCHES!!The look , the feel, the accuracy...everything is so cool and nice.Just an observation, that 5000 8 hr movement is amazingly accurate this far. Both watches running at +/- 2 seconds per day, well within COSC standards.I have been a dedicated Zenith and Omega collector for many years and its sooo nice to not have to use a winder on these PAMs. Just wind once a week, and switch around to whatever.Anybody got an opinion as to what would be a good addition to my new family?I rely soley on reputable reselllers who sell only new, carry their own warranty and have been in biz for over 20-30 years so it cant be the latest lineup of Luminors.

Hi, I would like to ask for your advice!Currently I have a milgauss 116400GV, a submariner 116610LN, a gmt 116710BLNR, and a gmt 16700 Pepsi.I have been waiting patiently for a new Daytona 116500LN.Yesterday I got a call from my dealer, and he offered me the opportunity to get a brand new Sea-Dweller 126600 at the recommended Rolex retail price!I wasn¡¯t really looking for it, but given the fact it is a difficult one to get and the possibility to buy it at this price, do you think I should do it?Thank you all!
