- I have only had mine for a few weeks. I like it's looks, it keeps accurate time. However the leather wrist band feels a little weak. Time will tell if it holds up!

Omega Omega 14551 wrist watches news:
The watch industry is a place I became a part of by accident, and in a sense my love of watches themselves was an accident. Stumbling upon the world of timepieces, I quickly identified with a number of values I had that were shared in the design and construction of high-end timepieces. What I later learned is that this story is anything but unique. Many people who entered the watch industry of their own volition never had the desire to be involved with watches but rather found a number of values in the watch world that they could identify with. In my opinion, this explains the recent history of Mr. Pascal Raffy, formerly of the pharmaceutical industry who purchased the historic watch maker Bovet in 2001.Bovet produces all the components for their watch movements in-house, and also happens to use their industrial capacity to produce small machine parts for the medical and aerospace industry. This is an important point to begin with because what Bovet is not is a marketing machine in the
For about a year I have been looking for a suitable and affordable Omega F300 to add to my modest collection of tuning fork watches and I think I got lucky. This one was a retirement gift to a Market Basket employee in 1976 and it looks like he just took it home and put it into the dresser. It is in absolutely pristine condition, very close to NOS in my opinion, and came with the inner and outer boxes, the owners manual, the guarantee book and the chronometer certification. One thing I find interesting is that the bracelet also has a Market Basket marking so it is certainly the original bracelet and it is a Speidel Twistoflex. I generally use my watches but I think I found one that really should be babied.
Hey guys.I've notice that the Tourbillon models have a really high price. And as i've notice it is not because of the jewlery that it is on the watch....So the central tourbillon mechanism cost that much???
I went thru this forum and searched with "identification" and "vintage" without success. I have a watch and i want to know more about it. I don't want to sell it although it doesn't run at the moment and will need to be repaired so I can wear it.I'd also like to know how to take the watch apart enough to see the movement. It is a rectangular mens watch with "Hamilton" and "D72" on the face. It also has 14K Gold Filled and S&W on the back and 1/20 14K on the band. I've gotten the movement out of the band/face but I'm hesitant to go any further without instructions. Any help or guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!John
Next installment of What Watch Would You Wear! You are to name 2 and ONLY 2 watches:what watch you currently have in your collection that you would wear for that activitywhat watch you could reasonably expect to own at some stage that you would wear instead if you owned itThe next scenario is this: What watch would you wear goint out for a fancy dinner (but not black tie). This would be my Longines Dolce Vita, It has been my dress watch ever since I've had it. It is a classy watch that looks great. Classic shape, white face, nice bracelet. One that I currently plan to have is the Glashutte Senator Chronograph. It has a nice black leather strap and has some guilloche on the dial. It looks great and is what I want in a dress watch.I really would love Donuts Vacheron, but I'm not sure if it is realistic for me so will stick with the Glashutte.Previous installments if you missed them:What watch would you wear? What watch would you wear?
