Omega Omega 21658 wrist watches news:
The Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch is among the most famous historic watches of all times, and it still happens to be produced today. Here is some more of the "back-story" behind the iconic watch: Chances are that at some point today you¡¯ve used a satellite. Whether TV, phone or internet, your digital footprint will have probably graced the heavens, tossed about by a network of delicate machines that shoot around the ball of rock we call home at over 18,000mph. But, 1,071 successful satellite launches ago, there wasn¡¯t a single man-made device orbiting the Earth. Then, on October 4th, 1957, the starting pistol fired and the Space Race began. The launch of the Soviet Sputnik 1 took US President Dwight D. Eisenhower by such surprise that he coined the term sputnik crisis in response to Russia¡¯s success. But Sputnik wasn¡¯t the only game-changing creation of 1957; the other was in Switzerland, in the shadow of the Neuchatel mountains: the birth of the Omega Speedmaster. To complim
The crown on this watch only seems to have one position. I was expecting it to have one position for turning the hands and another for setting the date. When I turn the hands counter-clockwise, the date doesn't change. It only works when I turn the hands clockwise.I'm pretty sure cranking the crown around hundreds of times is not the intended way to set the date backwards by a day or two. Please be gentle, I know I'm missing something obvious. 2013-01-24 21.10.13.jpg
Hey guys I'm pretty new to the WTF and well just kind of getting back into picking up different pieces, not a "serious" collector but an enthusiast if you will. I own a similar Benrus d/d to that one when you open this forum, Day of the week window, and pointer for the date. Its in a stainless case with "regular" lugs, not teardroped or knotted like the one shown. I like it though and went looking for one. I saw one selling on the bay and thought I'd just watch it to see where it went. I'm guessing a few noticed it and heck one may have bought it. My watch runs OK the jeweler I used in the past who did some repairs for me wasn't too interested in repairing mine or anyone's watches b/c the time vs. what he charged there just wasn't enough GP. So I'm looking for someone who is willing to take on these watches too. So let men know if you know someone.OK the watch sold last night, I watched it to the end, I was tempted to throw out a bid but resisted b/c of the description, one part saying
New here on the Breitling Forum. Sort-of wondered over from the Rolex forum. I have a couple of Roxles, but have been looking at a Breitling Chronomat Evolution with rose gold bezel. Very nice watch. Big, heavy, pleasing on the eye, and that rose gold bezel is stunning. But I do not see many (if any) posts about this watch. Is this a rare watch, or just not a popular model? Any info from you experienced Breitling owners would be apreciated. Bob
This is my choice of today
