- I bought this for my boyfriend's 24th birthday to replace to old watch he's been wearing. He loves the large face and contrasting colors. It's also versatile for casual and upscale wear. Highly recommend!

Omega 36538033 wrist watches news:
I've a so called original rubber strap for the Seamaster (SMP) watch but when fitted it is loose against the watch case. They are fitting with straight spring bars, as I hear some people use curved (I think for the PO rubber strap though). The rubber strap I've is Omega's serial 98000085. Can anyone shed any light why these don't sit snug against the case please?IMG_1071.jpgIMG_1072.jpgIMG_1073.jpgIMG_1074.jpg

I stopped by a local AD yesterday and let the owner fondle my PloProf. Although he carries Omega (also Breitling and Rolex), he had never seen the PloProf in the flesh. He called his sales people over for me to explain all the details and features. He even took the watch into the restroom and turned off the lights so that he could check out the bezel lume.He took it upon himself to admit that the PloProf was much more balanced and more comfortable on his wrist than the Deep Sea. I suspect he will have one in inventory soon.Fr. John†
While browsing around my local market, I came across a Patek Calatrava from the mid-late 1940s. Upon talking to the dealer, he indicated that patek replaced/restored the dial sometime around the 60s. I guess and extract from the archive would confirm that.Generally, I prefer all original, but I've never come across a Patek restored/replaced dial before. If it was anyone else doing the restoration I would be hesitant. It certainly isn't shined and new looking. Still has 50 years of age on it.Does an actual Patek restoration affect the value or desirability from collectors?
What would you consider to be the most classic and iconic dial for a yellow gold Day-Date like a 18038/18238? Champagne stick?
