Newbie - Advice appreciated
I have always been a fan of fine timepieces but could never really afford to start a collection. Finally, I have a few extra bucks. I thought I would try and stay in the sub $1000 range to find what I really like in a watch. I have a Tissot PRC200 and a Magarette on the way. Considering a Lum-tec (need a tough, sporty watch) and a Hamilton. I think that will give me a nice starting base without breaking the bank. Then, I can go from there. Any advice is appreciated. Oh no! I'm ruined!
I've been thinking about the new blue Omega AT 8500 that is showcased in Skyfall (image below taken from the internets).So I went to the boutique to try it on while sporting my own AP 15300. I leave feeling deflated about the Omega. I know its an apples and oranges comparison -- perhaps I should have worn another watch to avoid the comparison. I still may get the Omega, but my AP is just perfection. Has AP spoiled me for other brands!? Anyone else ever have an experience like this?
