Need help with Lord ELgin
The guy I bought my Lord Elgin from contacted me today. He said he went to wind it and the click spring broke. I was planning on having it serviced. I was wondering if locating a click spring for a Elgin 760 30j movement would be hard to find?

Well today I made a visit for the first time to City Bank Antiques in Kent, Ohio. It is owned by husband and wife, Don and Karen Barrett. Don is a long time member of the NAWCC and specializes in American pocket watches. As a complete noob to vintage pocket watches, it was great to get some education from someone so knowledgeable. I went prepared to take something home and Don and Karen were so helpful. They were very patient with helping me find just where I wanted to start. While I was there Don lubed up the Illinois pocket watch that I picked up the other day. After much looking and absorbing as much info as possible, I made my decision...I am in a hurry to get to work right now but I wanted to post some quick picks of of the visit.I will update the thread with pics of my newest acquisition. A clue that I'm sure won't stump any of you is "992B"Thanks,Mark zzz

Navitimer 01 is gorgeous
Hey guys,I know this is the Rolex forum so I tread lightly on this when I say that I've been a Rolex owner for quite some time over the years and have owned several models but i've been blown away on the craftsmanship from Bretling on the Navitimer 01.I;ve also owned several models of Breitlings over the years including the 7750 based Navitimer back in the early 2000s. Anyway, I decided to sell my Deep Sea and get the Navitimer 01 and I honestly have not looked back. I know they are totally different watches but the Rolex while exciting to own and know it's level of ingenuity...The Breitling is so beautiful and a joy to read and stare at, etc. The chronos are like a tank with this new movt.70+ hour power reserve...unheard of from Breitling previously or Rolex for that matter on most of their watches. I got the 43mm model as the 46mm was too big. I loved the open back but it didn't look right to me at that size.Anyway, if you haven't looked at this watch in-person...go check it out.
