Habring2, the watch brand founded by the man behind the movement used in the IWC Doppelchronograph, has announced a very limited run of their Doppel 3 split-second monopusher chronograph. Made especially for the French language watch forum Horlogerie-Suisse, this limited edition run is comprised of just five pieces and bears a distinct dial design that will set it apart from the already exceedingly rare "standard" Doppel 3 chronograph.Like the standard version, this limited Doppel 3 utilizes the A08MR hand wound monopusher chronograph movement. Based on a Valjoux movement, the A08MR incorporates a specialized module designed by Richard Habring that significantly changes the movement to offer the split-second capability and monopusher operation. The pusher at two can start, stop and reset the chronograph measure while the pusher at ten activates the split function. The Doppel 3 has a 42mm stainless steel case and a dual anti-reflective sapphire crystal. Vacheron Constantin has just announced that for the 2016 SIHH, they’ll be introducing four new models into the Métiers d'Art Fabuleux Ornements collection. The collection was first introduced two years ago as part of the larger Métiers d'Art collection of timepieces, and basically, they’re intended as a celebration of the decorative arts of different cultures, with Ottoman architecture, Chinese embroidery, Indian manuscript, and French lace. These arts are interpreted through engraving and openworking, as well as through enameling techniques, including cloisonné and champlevé, and guilloché engraving techniques. The new references use the same basic design motifs as the models introduced in 2014, but with variations in colors as well as new case materials. The movement in these watches is Vacheron’s caliber 1003, which was first used by Vacheron in 1955 (and which is the heart of one of their most wonderful watches). At

Hello,I've been a long time watch 'enthusiast' (for lack of a better term) but never had a nice watch. I'll be getting married next month after becomming stable/satisfied in my current career and thought it was time to treat myself. The brand choice was easy to chose as Ive always loved Breitling's aviation inspired theme. Chosing a model was much harder but I ended up picking up an incredible Chronomat black face/silver dial with the polished case and pilot band. I can see why this is their most popular model.I love my Breitling but can feel the collecting itch start already lol. Ive got my eye on a big Pilot's Watch next for an everyday type watch but theres lots of time for that later.I have a simple point and shoot camera that cant do the watch justice so Ill just attach a linked pic of the same model otherwise its just too blurry The only diff being the black face vs the blue face pictured
Any information on that?Thx!
