Oris 01 675 7648 4264-07 5 23 77 wrist watches news:
Hi all, does anyone have any infos on Morvant watches? they were an offshoot of Elgin sold mainly in the US in the 80's.That's about all I could find on them...
Sometimes dreams come true!I was planing for some time to see Baselworld and wanted to catch two birds with one stone (meaning, to see the Longines Museum at the same time). My thought was to go this year to Switzerland, arrive on Friday and see the Longines Museum, then stay overnight in Basel and see Baselworld on Saturday. I had even booked the visit at the museum but for some reasons I had to cancel my trip.Recently the opportunity arose again and I jumped at the chance. I had to travel to Switzerland for business for a few days, so I contacted Longines and asked if it's possible to book an appointment for a visit. As always, Ms. Bochud from Longines Brand Heritage was very friendly and said that they would be happy to show me the museum. I also said that I would like to have my watches analyzed and have a Certificate of Authenticity issued and asked whether this could be done on the same day, during my visit. THe answer was positive as well, however the certificates will be sent to
Wanted to get some feedback from you guys, what made you originally want to purchase a Hamilton? There is something about the Khaki field chrono's, I can't seem to find a watch that I want more, and especially the older ones. It's almost like the vintage does just as much for me as a new X-Wind. I mean it would be cool if someone offered me a Navitimer for the same price as the field chrono, but that wouldn't mean that I would wear the Breitling more or I would enjoy it more. So what made you choose Hamilton? Thanks for any reply's.
My wife's a huge NASA fan, and when I was looking something up last night, I stumbled across the fact that the Speedmaster was worn on the Moon. Needless to say, she was seriously geeking out about this, and I love the look of the watch. What are the specs of the originals? I see that they're making an automatic variant instead of the original manual wind, but what else? Where should I look to acquire one that would be as true to the originals as possible?
Assume this is common knowledge or otherwise a crafty ploy by the PP AD (UK based) to encourage a sale but my friend has been on the waiting list for a PP 5960/1A and was informed his watch would be ready to collect from 1 February. On enquiry of a discount he received the following reply (word for word, purchaser and sales rep names removed for privacy reasons).Hi XXXXX,The list price is still the same at the moment,There is going to be a price increase soon , we re not sure of dates yet.The price will be ¡ê36,920 .Unfortunately because of the increase and the demand for this watch we are unable to offer discount. If you would like to pass on this watch at the present time we can allow the watch to the next person on our list. Please let me know your thoughtsBestXXXXX
