- Because I am a cat lover and the owner of many felines, I had to have this watch both in the silver and the gold. As mentioned previously, the gold and black are a better contrast; but, with the different color combinations, I have a choice depending on my outfit. Wow! Do those cat eyes ever dazzle you! Portuguese Perpetual Calendar Closer Up
I have not taken this one off my wrist since last Friday. Here are some more, not color corrected for white balance, showing the dial and back a little closer up. I am in love with the moon disk and the gold speckled stars behind the moon. The attention to detail and the finishing of this piece is stunning.I normally don't have people stop me and say anything about my IWC's, but I have been stopped twice already wearing this one.Bill

Hi all, very excited to be getting my first Patek tomorrow . A black dial 5980 stainless steel. It's been my grail watch for a few years, and with the news that its being discontinued I wanted to get it whilst I could - unfortunately that meant selling my collection of 3 Rolexes, so for the time being at least it will be my one and only!Will post some pics tomorrow. Any advice to a Patek newbie would be gratefully received
