- I am 51 years old and have had 2 watches my whole life both Seiko. This watch is dead on UCT however the band was cheap so I replaced it with an aligator hide band I found in New Orleans.

- Being -boned, I was very concerned that the watch would overpower my tiny wrist... Michael Kors does not disappoint! Stunning piece of jewelry. For me, it isn't heavy on the wrist and it is very feminine. Love it!

Oris 7555-71 wrist watches news:
Quick reminder that today is the last day to get the pre-order price of $780 for the cool new Dievas Vortex hybrid dive/aviator watch. I wrote about the Vortex watch previously here. Really one of my favorite timepieces this year, and a great value for the price. Made in Germany, Swiss automatic movement, 44mm wide titanium case, and 500 meters of water resistance. Check out the link to the previous article for all the details. After tomorrow the price for the Dievas Vortex watch jumps to $880.Pre-Order the Dievas Vortex watch here.
I am not buying, or many others presently, this kind of big heavy common watch because of the gold inflation. I had not record photographed until now after owning 20+ years. An exceptional gift from Mommy in 1884. Unusual in an heirloom shows some evidence of wear on the 18 size 18K case. Near 3 oz. case wgt. A rare gold scrap survival. Noticed it did not have original movement. This one shows a common occurance. Fancy and expensive cases commonly have ordinary movements. Cases and movements were interchangeable since sold separately. This one with the best 18 size Elgin of 1888 probably did not have an Elgin originally. Case screw mark shows that in addition to the serial number.
I am considering my first German watch. So far, I like 2 options from NOMOS and 1 or 2 from Muhle. The NOMOS offerings seem more unique, and have the (sorta, kinda) benefit of being manufacture movements. They are also pretty reasonable. OTOH, Muhle watches are nicely-done, and have a great rep for accuracy. Since they use nicely modified 7750's in the chronos, it seems likely that they'd be fairly easy to have serviced, should they need work or whatever. I am leaning towards the NOMOS, but I wonder if you think that it'd be a better idea to buy a watch with a really bullet-proof motor. Is this sufficiently important to even being considered when it's time to buy?

Well I picked up the 118238 DD a week ago and as most of you know the hunt for the next one was already on. This happened a lot sooner than I anticipated (like years lol) but decided why the hell not I only turn 30 once. Should have it later this week but was too excited and wanted to make a thread holding a spot for the arrival. I really need to get off this forum before I go BK. I'll let you all guess before I'm able to take official pics...
