Panerai FER00034 wrist watches news:
Was demonstrating the inner bezel to a pal the other day when it stopped rotating. Had an inspection today and now the crown pulls easily out of the caseAnyone had this happen. Also the normal crown binds (clicks) when setting the date....anyone noticed this before??
Any help in advance is appreciated. I do not have a tool to open the case back unfortunately. This was my grandfathers watch and I think it¡¯s a cool design. It is gold plated it seems. There aren¡¯t many marks other then what¡¯s pictured. My question is from about what year, and what model? I know it¡¯s probably all speculation until the movement is opened but any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I was at the mall today with some time to kill and decided to stop by the local AD to try on a 233 (again), since I've been lusting for one ever since I sold my 422, after finally admitting that it wore too large for my liking and was being left at the watch box without getting much use.Well, they didn't have a 233 in the store, which was a bummer, but I got to try on a 533, which I didn't like as much as the 233. I missed the dome crystal and the thinner profile of the 233, although it was nice to have the 9 numeral on the dial of the 533.Then, when I was getting ready to leave, something caught my eye in the watch box, and I asked to try it on. It was a 425 (47mm Rad with SLC dial), and wow! I thought it was amazing!I had never given Radiomir models much thought, but this piece seemed much easier to wear than my 422. The absence of the crown protecting mecanism of the luminor cases, added to the slimmer profile of the hand wind caliber and the sleekness of the wire lugs made this 47m
So I have been not sure on where to go with my collection. Don't have a ton of funds and typically keep it to 2 or 3 watches, right now have a Rolex 114060 and love it. Was looking at adding a BLNR, but wanted to look outside Rolex as wellWent and tried on a 44mm basic sandwich dial today and fell in love with the simplicity of the Pam112. Display caseback, manual wind, strap changing options, it's going to be awesome! Worked out a deal with DavidSW and should be here Friday morning Unboxing and wrist pics soonNow for the strap obsession I've been told so much about... where do you guys recommend I look for vintage leather straps?
A few local ADs have said they'll polish my gold Daytona up for a reasonable circa ?100 but they won't touch the bezel cos it means taking the watch apart The rolex service is about ?600I've never had any watch polished before... I'm slightly nervous about some of the over polishing nightmares we see. I'm guessing Rolex service is the safest bet?Cheers
