Panerai Panerai 47087 wrist watches news:
Just picked up this Benrus this afternoon in a local Antiques cooperative. Minimal wearthrough on case highpoints, very clean dial (not sure if it is original) and keeps reasonable time so far. I have already cleaned the case exterior a little to remove grime and dirt. I wasn't sure what to expect to pay for this one as prices seem to be all over the place for Benrus, hope I didn't overpay at $40. Cooments and information on this beauty would be appreciated.P.S. I was more than just a little influenced by this forum in buying this watch.P1350317.jpgP1350308.jpgP1350309.jpgP1350313.jpgP1350320.jpg
Spent the weekend in NYC and finally got a chance to see a Hamilton Open Heart white/silver face with gold numerals in person. A little larger than I had expected, but nicely finished. ETA 2824-4 movement, sapphire back, no date, brown strap, somewhat unusual look without being too radical or weird, 2-yr warranty.I think I got a good price at $590, shipping included (the watch retails for $840), so I took plunge. Should have it tomorrow afternoon. Will post photos soon.
I'm considering purchasing an Orbita Futura single head winder and was curious if anybody owned one and what they thought of it. It will be used for an IWC Port Auto. Any issues w/ using this winder for this watch? Kevin feel free to chime in if you'd like to tell me why I should get this over another winder. I looked on this forum, but really didn't see anything on this winder. Thanks!
