Forgot to crosspost this one over here. I am LOVING this watch so far...watchtalkforums.info/foru...fessional.html
I had some Omegas before. Last Omega I had was PO 8500 that I traded a year ago.. Here I am.. back to Omega. I chose Ti Speedy this time because steel speedy didn't last too long for me.. a bit too heavy with metal bracelet.. I love the subtle blue dial... and balanced weight around my wrist. Leather strap feels pretty high end.. 9300 movement is spot on when I wear it. only a second off for a few days when you put it in winder. Definitely one of the most accurate movements that I've owned. I am glad I did.
I am interested in finding a list of the different models in regards to their collectiveness, or how sought after they are. I have looked through quite a few pages of this section and have yet to find what I am looking for, although I certainly could have just overlooked it. I have notice that the Logo models usually sell relatively quickly on here, i love these models but isn't this a bit backwards as these models have an ETA movement, painted dial, and no complications. What makes them so popular, is it the logo? Any help in all of this would be greatly appreciated as i am new to the Panerai world.
Last week, at the Costco in Los Angeles, CA, my grandmother lost her two tone, champagne dial Datejust on jubilee. Her memory has been a bit hazy of late, and she set the time but left it on her lap in the car rather than putting it on. The thought is that she dropped it in the parking lot when she got out. My grandparents can afford to replace it, but here's the kicker: the watch belonged to my grandfather's brother, who passed away from cancer in the early 2000s. Though he won't admit it (he doesn't want to make my grandmother feel any worse), he's devastated at the loss of such a piece. While I know this is a long shot, if anyone happens to have seen it or picked it up, please let me know. I'd post a serial number here, but I've yet to find any papers in their home with it listed. Thanks!
