Patek Philippe 5035G wrist watches news:
Richard Mille’s first foray into the dive watch genre was the $495,000, RM025 tourbillon chronograph measuring 50.7mm in diameter and 19.1mm thick. His new RM028 diver is more in tune with the times – a bit smaller and a bit simpler. The RM028 measures 47mm x 14.6mm and it offers hours, minutes, central seconds and date. But like all Richard Mille creations, it contains its fair share of interesting technical features and exotic materials. The chief weapon in the 028’s technical arsenal is Mille’s exclusive variable rotor geometry that allows the owner to adjust the watch to wind faster or slower, to account for the owner’s activity level. The curved, three-piece case is titanium, as are the movement’s bottom plate, bridges and balance cock. The case is water resistant to 300 meters. The skeletonized movement is powered by twin barrels to improve the stability of torque over a longer period. The power reserve is 55 hours. I was on eBay earlier looking at Seamasters and came across this abomination:cgi.ebay/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:ITJust at a glance I can see that:1) The dial and bezel are the wrong shade of blue.2) The bracelet is made of cheap folded links.3) The endlinks are hollow.4) The clasp is completely wrong.5) Bond model Seamasters don't have display backs. 6) Helium escape valve placement is wrong. 7) No lume dot on the bezel.
A good buddy came to visit ...I did not let him leave 'till I got this shot It's a Omega Titanium Seamaster Professional 300M Chrono Diver ...He loves it
Hoping someone can answer my question, I can't understand why AP's don't hold their value? Looking at buying a diver, the depreciation doesn't bother me however it just raised the question for me. Many thanks, Jack
Hi boys ! Very happy to say that I have my first AP on the way, after a few Rolex I finally tried on the silver dial 15400 and I was hooked. Is there anything I need to know ? I'm very used to Rolex being built like tanks I'm just wondering if there's something I should know about. Like Omega's 'don't change the date between 10 and 2'. My mindset with Rolex has been to send for service only when needed, it always ended up being cheaper then just sending it in every 5 years even if something happen to break. I'm talking 10 years or so not 20-30. Should I be more careful with the AP ?What about swimming with the AP ?I'm sure this is mostly dumb questions just rather be safe then sorry.
