Patek Philippe 5205G-001 wrist watches news:
Thanks to Victor M. of Raleigh, North Carolina for this thorough follow-up review of a Marvin Malton Cushion watch he was the lucky winner of during the September 2012 aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer monthly watch giveaway. The giveaway specified an M119 watch, but it looks like he was able to get an M120 Limited Edition model instead (similar but with different dial). Check out his details reviews below:I recently received the Marvin M120 Limited Edition watch, having won the contest held by our host here at aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer, Mr. Ariel Adams.A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF THE MARVIN MALTON CUSHION COLLECTIONAs Mr. Adams mentioned back when he first covered the M119 introduction, The M118, 119 and 120 series are the first in Marvin's Malton Cushion cases. The largest difference between the models is that the M118 is a chronograph movement, M119 is the automatic 3-hand with Arabic numerals on the face in wide availability, and M120 has stick (baton) markers in limited editions.Marvin seems to f
Hello All,About three months ago I rescued this old Hamilton from a dusty showcase in a local antique store. I had seen it before, but I thought it was overpriced and based on previous encounters with antique store watches, I doubted it was even in running condition.Well, I broke down and asked to see it. To my surprise, it was a runner, and it set and wound very smoothly. I was especially fascinated to see it inscribed on the back of the case:Lt Rankin from Enlisted Personnel 6 FA BrigadeThe interesting military inscription really made me want it. The dealer accepted an offer much lower than the asking price, and I took it home and began researching it. According to its serial, I believe it was made in 1938.I sent it to a watchmaker to have it serviced (Power reserve was only about ten or twelve hours, but other than that it ran strong and accurately) and to have it fitted with a tan pigskin strap.Watch just came back a few days ago, and I am very happy with the results. The watchmake
Just noticed this brand on a watch site that sells 1970's-1980's era watches. Their ad's are titled Titus ( Omega ) and then give the following description of their watches."Serious collectors out there will notice this is named Titus on the dial but is identical in every respect to a model by Omega. In fact is the same watch but marketed under a different name. It is extremely accurate and allowed Omega to market theirs with a chronometer badge." For me this is more of a general curiousity with no interest in a purchase. Opinions seemed mixed with regards to this brand, some say it chinese others say it's swiss. The prices seem to be about the same as an Omega, would anyone recommend these watches ? Are sellers taking advantage by throwing in the Omega name ?
I havn't worn this one in a few weeks, I went swimming the last time I wore it. Now its pretty much toast. It's still running, but I pulled the stem so it wouldn't run, I'm afraid the crystalization will work its way into the movement. What a way to start the day. I'm going back to bed
Hi, there is a AP Roo for sale here in my country, the thing is the watch was pvd treated, and I guess dial and hands replaced so one model would look like something else. The watch is horrible, but if I could replace the case, bracelet, dial and hands perhaps I could end up with a nice watch. But for how much? Anyone knows the cost of a new ss case, dial and hands for an AP 44mm in ss? Went to boutique ( without the watch) and they told it would cost as much as a new watch, is this true? I think i can get the watch for just over 7 k. Thanks and happy 2017 to everyone!Enviado de meu SM-N910C usando Tapatalk
