Patek Philippe 5013 J wrist watches news:
I just stopped in local pawn shop for the first time. The have 2 vintage pocket watches. A 18k omega and an Illinois. They want about 150 for the omega and 125 for the Illinois. The omega has date window at 3 and what I would call a champagne dial kinda sunray finish. The Illinois has a small second at 6 and alot of nice engraving. The dial on the omega is very clean while the Illinois dial has some spotting.U don't know enough but double you think they are worth the price and worth the risk. Also they appear to be operational. The for the helpMark zzz
I am considering a Khaki field auto chrono, but I can't decide on the face color. I was thinking about black because it is a classic look and I could go with a stainless, black, or brown band. But I really like the brown face 42mm model, but I'm not sure how it would look with a stainless band. (if I wanted to change it to that) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Next Thursday, I'm flying down to Florida to attend my brother's 50th birthday bash. Living on opposite coasts, we don't see each other too often, and there's no way I'm missing this celebration.I'm torn on what to get him for a birthday present, though. Some have said that just being there (he doesn't know I'll be there) will be present enough. I think that might be true if this was, say, his 49th birthday, but the "Big 5-0" is special. On my flight home from Toronto on Tuesday, it dawned on me that an appropriate gift would be my Omega Seamaster Professional. I know he likes the watch; he's made comments about it in the past. He would never purchase anything like that for himself, and I'm probably in a better position to eventually replace it than he would be to go out and buy one for himself. My brother and I are very, very close. It wasn't always that way. When I was younger, I did things I'm not proud of. I can't believe I would ever do things like that to anyone, let alone a member
We received this vintage Men's Movado Museum Watch from a customer to sell on our site. It was a hand-me-down from his father, and he does not wear watches and has no use for it. He had it appraised for insurance purposes at around $1700 but does not know the actual retail value of the watch. Does anyone know anything about this particular watch or the Movado Museum Watches in general? We are trying to determine a fair price to sell the watch and can find very little information about this style watch.
Hi All,Can't help but notice the recent influx of threads showing Patek freebies I was wondering for those of you who have Patek freebies, did you ask your AD for them or do the AD voluntarily give them to you with your watch purchase?best regards,R
